A member of the We Wai Kai Nation from central Vancouver Island, Lawrence has dedicated his career to working with First Nation peoples as an educator, political activist, policy writer, and environmentalist.
Lawrence founded OneFeather in 2014 to give First Nations a much-needed communications platform to discuss important topics, increase community engagement, and build strong, empowered and unified Nations. OneFeather is now a leader in electronic voting, vote management, and membership registrar technology for First Nations in Canada.
Matthew Lehner, Co-Founder
Matthew brings over 18 years of experience in the high-tech industry to the team. For the last six years, he has run an agency focused on delivering web applications to the health care industry and US special forces. As a result, this experience directly translates to OneFeather's need for a highly secure and reliable platform.
Jason Corless, Advisor
Jason is a software professional with over twenty years of experience managing development teams and delivering highly available software. Jason is currently a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Victoria. Prior to joining the University, Jason was a co-founder and the Director of Engineering at Voice Mobility Inc. Jason is President of Sixtyfourk Software Inc, a company that provides software and management consulting. Jason holds a Master's degree in Computer Science.
Leo Duguay, Advisor
Leo is a past President of the Canadian Teachers Federation and the Government Relations Institute of Canada. He has served five years as President of the Association of Former Parliamentarians (MPs and Senators). The Hill Times has recognized Leo as one of the top federal lobbyists.
Regan McGrath, Advisor
Regan is the Founder and CEO of Metrics Chartered Professional Accounting: a leading digital accounting firm in Canada. Metrics is at the intersection of technology, tax and accounting and is focused on disrupting accounting systems with financial technology advisory and implementations. Regan earned her certification in Fintech: Future Commerce from MIT in 2016, and has a background in public practice, IT consulting, and teaching.
Fred Schiffner, Advisor
President of Schiffner Consulting Inc., Fred holds a designation in Finance, Corporate Secretarial Practice and Administration through the University of Toronto, and has over 40 years of business experience, including 10 years as a C.A.O. for a British Columbia First Nation. He currently specializes in First Nation elections, referendums, and has conducted in excess of 400 First Nation elections in the past 12 years.
